Labratory Services

With our in-house equipment, our veterinary staff has access to a full and complete diagnostic laboratory. Results are delivered quickly and accurately, allowing for us to formulate a specific plan to effectively care for your pet. Urine testing, blood testing, and fecal parasite testing are routinely conducted and are often required for a complete and accurate diagnosis. For tests not available in house, we use a nationally recognized veterinary laboratory.

Radiographs

Our on-site x-ray equipment allows us to take radiographs of your pet in order to help diagnose and treat many medical conditions. They can provide the veterinary staff with an overall picture of your pet's body. Radiographs are especially useful in diagnosing problems in the skeletal system and in the chest.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is an invaluable tool in our hospital. This procedure is a method of obtaining images from inside your pet’s body through the use of high-frequency sound waves.  It is a useful way to exmine the body's internal organs, including the heart, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidneys and bladder.  This technology captures images in real time, so it can show movement of internal tissues and organs and enables us to pinpoint a specific organ where disease is occurring.

We use the ultrasound routinely to screen for tumors, detect foreign objects in the intestinal tract, and verify pregnancy. If needed, we have access to board certified specialists who can help to interpret our ultrasound images.
